In the Fitzroy River basin (Central Queensland), one of the largest catchments draining to the east coast of Australia,atrazine has been found to be one of the most abundant surface
water contaminants with reported concentrations from 0.04 to 0.43μg/L during 2002 to 2008 (Packett 2009).
